Well hello there beautiful! We're Justin & Ellen and we are ready to adopt! If you've found your way over to our blog, then that means you've been checking out our profile. Welcome! You have no idea, how excited we are to meet you!
So who are Justin & Ellen? Well, we're farmers from rural Illinois. In fact, our County only has 1 stop light. It's kind of our claim to fame around here. We live on our farm, about 6 miles outside of town. We love our tight nit community. There's always someone there to cheer you on, or help you out in a time of need.
What all do we do on the farm? We raise corn, soybeans, alfalfa, cover crops and of course cows! There's certain times of the year where we are busier than others and crops or cattle may be in need of our attention. However, we have plenty of help around to split up the workload. We enjoy some of those added extra perks. Like watching the sun rise over the cattle shed and let's not forget about the sunsets. There's nothing better than a beautiful summer night, watching the sunset over the days accomplishments.
Ellen works off farm but she does help out on the farm whenever we're in need of help. She sells seed and manages vegetable production for a frozen food company. The best part of her job is the people and seeing new ways of completing tasks. There's plans in the works for her to downsize her workload significantly this year which will allow even more time to give attention to a new bundle of joy.
Our families are both close, in fact we see them almost daily. This is a bonus in our world, because family get togethers don't just consist of holidays. Sometimes, it's just because we all had a low key evening and wanted to get together with one another. We both have good sized families, with nieces and nephews and even great nieces. At family gatherings, our nieces and nephews are always eager to play with Uncle Justin and Aunt Ellen. We will even offer slumber parties to them, complete with a pizza and movie night.
We're so excited you're here and we can't wait to provide you more updates from our farm, in hopes that you can get a better sense of who we are. We look forward to what the future has in store for us.
