Woah! I feel like, we've almost missed the entire month of February. Where did it go?! I know it's been a while, since we've posted. Have no fear though, we've been out adventuring!
At the beginning of February, Justin took a trip to New Orleans for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. While he was at convention he sat in on a few board meetings, took some educational classes, met up with old friends and most importantly hunted around the trade show for the latest and greatest along with all the free hats, gloves and notepads he could fit in his carry-on. Ellen chose to stay home, to keep watch on the farm and be there for any needs during calving season. Justin was only gone for 4 days, but to Ellen it felt like a lifetime.
Then a week later, Ellen took a little trip on her own. Now normally, this is a trip that her and Justin love to take together, but unfortunately this year the cards weren't in our favor. Ellen traveled to Puerto Rico for a Channel event. She enjoyed serving on a panel during the meetings, catching up with old friends and of course the 80 degree weather by the pool! It was a precious 4 days of relaxation, but Ellen was ready to get back to the grind.
While Ellen was gone, the boys started pouring cement in her new shed. Check out the next blog for more details on that fun!
