We had a busy but unforgettable 4th of July weekend—packed with family, friends, and of course, fireworks!
Last year, Evan was teething and tucked in bed by 8:30 PM, so the holiday came and went without much excitement. But this year? We made up for it with not one, but two back-to-back firework shows. Watching the fireworks through his eyes made them more magical than ever. His little “oohs” and “ahhs,” and the way he lit up at each burst of color, were the highlight of our celebration.
Evan also attended his very first parade and had the best time watching all the floats go by. He especially loved when people sprayed squirt guns to cool off the crowd—perfect on such a hot July day! He was thrilled by the candy being tossed out, and somehow we ended up eating three popsicles along the way—another first for him, but definitely a refreshing treat in the summer heat.
We’re so lucky to have amazing friends and family who each hosted their own cookouts and firework shows. It was the perfect reminder of how special it is to be surrounded by the people we love.
One day was spent splashing in the pool with cousins, and another running wild in the yard, digging in the sandbox, and soaking up the summer sun. The weekend was jam-packed with food, laughter, and quality time.
It felt good to slow down and savor the best parts of life—because in the end, that’s what truly matters.
